From Restriction to Freedom

Use this area to tell your story. Talk about your failure when you first started looking for a solution. Maybe there was a conspiracy against you, a false belief, a misunderstanding.

Since the age of 10, I was a competitive athlete, first as a swimmer, then progressing to triathlons and marathons. I lived for the discipline—waking up at 5 AM to train, chasing faster times, feeling the rush of competition, and the immense satisfaction of crossing the finish line. That same relentless drive bled into every area of my life. I had to hit my target race times. I had to exceed my sales quotas. Anything less was failure. I kept pushing—competing in Ironman triathlons, making President’s Club twice, and proving I could do it all.

But beneath the surface, I was falling apart. My need for control spiraled into disordered eating, food guilt, body dysmorphia, and an overwhelming fear of failure. Food became something I had to earn, my body something I had to fix. If I ate something “bad” or exceeded my calorie limit, I’d punish myself by restricting the next day. No matter how much I achieved, I never felt enough. I was physically drained, mentally overwhelmed, and emotionally raw.

The Moment I Let Go, Everything Changed

When my body finally broke down, I had no choice but to face the truth: I didn’t know how to eat without guilt. I didn’t know how to rest without feeling lazy and I had no idea who I was outside of my achievements. That’s when I discovered Intuitive Eating — for the first time, I felt a sense of freedom. I stopped fighting my body and started listening to it. Food became nourishment instead of an enemy. Movement became joyful instead of a punishment. The stress, the guilt, the exhaustion — it all began to fade.

I immersed myself in learning how to truly heal, earning my certifications as a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor.

I finally found the missing piece...

After years of struggling, I discovered the secret: listening & trusting my body.

Learning to listen to my body changed everything, and now, I’m on a mission to help other athletic women break free from food guilt, restrictive eating, and the exhausting cycle of perfectionism.

You don’t have to keep fighting this battle alone. There’s another way—and I’m here to support you.
